DETROIT – The Michigan Civil Rights Commission will meet this afternoon in Detroit to reconsider Equality Michigan’s (EQMI) request that the Commission take action on anti-LGBT discrimination. FERNDALE, Mich. — Ferndale, a suburb or Detroit, announced last week that they would permanently still the Pride flag in the city council chambers.

“Our motto in Ferndale is ‘Good Neighbors,’ and we interpret that to include the diversity of our residents and guests and the benefits of inclusive decision-making,” said Mayor Dave Coulter in an announcement on the city’s website. “My fellow Council members and I strive to act in ways reflective of Ferndale’s shared values.”
